STEM Challenge

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Challenge is an opportunity for students to present their STEM innovation idea/project/product. The presentations can range from a variety of topics like a science experiment to a breakthrough innovation to a mathematical theory.

This forum is a great way to demonstrate the innovative and creative abilities of students in the STEM fields of study. STEM Challenge is a great platform for students to present their creative ideas in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

STEM Challenge FAQs

STEM Challenge consists of 4 categories or levels

  • Level 1: Grades 1, 2, and 3
  • Level 2: Grades 4, 5
  • Level 3: Grades 6, 7, and 8
  • Level 4: Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12

Students should bring a printed or mobile copy of the registration ticket and the photo / video consent form for onsite check-in.

Our competitions are meant to promote academic excellence and recognize students for their talent and hard work. During our competitions, there will be pictures and videos taken which may be posted on our website. Students are requested to turn in a photo / video release consent form at the time of onsite check-in on the day of the competition.

The participants are free to pick any skill of their choice for the STEM Challenge.

The participants can make a solo presentation or join a group to present the idea.

Yes, each student will have to register to be able to participate as a group.

The participants are welcome to bring props, required audio, etc. The participants have to bring their own laptops, for the presentation.

The schedule includes the following:

  • Onsite check-in
  • STEM Challenge
  • Grading
  • Award ceremony

The students are expected to be punctual and arrive 30 minutes before the contest for the onsite check-in.

Parents are welcome to watch the contest.

STEM Challenge Rules and Guidelines

  • The STEM Challenge will require all presentations to be made in English language only.
  • The students will choose their own topic for the STEM Challenge, in areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • STEM Challenge consists of an oral component only. Judging will be based on the presentations by the students.
  • Students are expected to arrive on time for the onsite check-in.
  • Students should say their name and the topic clearly before starting their presentation.
  • Students should adhere to the timing provided for their presentation based on the category and level.
  • Scoring will be done independently by the judges and the average score will be used to determine the student ranking. Winners will be determined based on the overall average score.
